Play, Explore and Develop

The Player Development Programme (PDP) is an extension programme for Year 7 & 8's. It focuses on technical and tactical elements of netball, athlete development (sleep, nutrition, social media) and fundamental movement skills. This programme provides more opportunities for more players to participate and development to develop a life long love of netball.  

Purpose

To provide more opportunities to a broader base of players, to further develop their skills and inspire a lifelong love of the game.

• widen and improve the talent base through development opportunities
• create an environment for players that enhances their capability
• provide a programme that includes a wide range of technical and tactical development for players across all positions as Year 7 & 8 is too early to specialise.
• to retain players in netball
• to facilitate deliberate play and to enhance intrinsic motivation (maximise fun, enjoyment and age/stage adapted)
• to provide players with the opportunities to continue to progress towards becoming the best that they can be
