We are excited to be able to return to play with a modified 2020 netball winter competition for our Senior and Junior grades. This season games played in all grades will be 40 minutes long (including Premier and Premier Reserve Grades) to allow us adequate time to meet Hygiene & Sanitation requirements, complete contact tracing and to comply with gathering limitations.
The shortened season format will consist of 3 grading weeks, with each team playing just one full length 40 minute game on each grading day. Depending on our final team registrations, we will aim for grades of 6 teams that will each complete a round robin to be played over the following 5 weeks. At the end of the 5 week competition the winner will be the team with the highest points (with the exception of Future ferns 6v6 who play non-competition games).
Given the 2020 season has been shortened due to Covid-19, trophies will not be awarded for our modified competition this year.

2020 Team Registration
This year we are rolling out online registrations and require teams to be registered via the Friendly Manager online system by 1st July. A summary of the system can be found here, and full information and instructions on how to register teams will be sent to Club Managers.
Teams who wish to practice at WNC courts are asked to request a preferred day and time by emailing email@example.com. Once the roster is complete, teams will be advised of their allocated court and time slot for training, along with the hygiene and santitation requirements and contract tracing procedure for training.
Due to uncertainty of the Covid-19 Alert level and any restrictions that will be in place by the end of the season, at this stage we are unable to confirm if there will be any formal end-of-season prizegiving day. This will be reviewed in line with NNZ and the Ministry of Health guidelines closer to the time.
